(B)east Buddy: for a closer neighbourhood

Everyone deserves a nice neighbourhood to live in. With (B)east Buddy, we involve young people in the neighbourhood. They help out, learn new things and make a real difference. Together, we create a pleasant neighbourhood where young and old know and strengthen each other.

(B)east Buddy is there for young people aged 10 to 14 from the Atol neighbourhood, Zuiderzeewijk, Boswijk and Waterwijk. We pair them up with local residents who could use a helping hand. Think of cooking together, doing a chore or a sports activity in the neighbourhood. This way, young people get to know others and mean something to them.

With personal support and appropriate activities, young people grow in who they are. They feel more involved in their neighbourhood, discover what they are good at and become stronger in social situations.
