Care volunteer needed
A helping hand if needed for a moment
Sometimes you could use some temporary support. For example, you are a carer and it becomes too much for you for a while. Then the care volunteers of Welzijn Lelystad are there for you. They offer company, a listening ear and support with everyday things, just at your home.
A buddy for you?
Do you live independently and could use some company or support? Then a buddy might be for you. A volunteer will visit you for a chat, an errand or to do something fun together.Such as walking, playing a game or going together to an activity in the neighbourhood.
Please note that this is not intended for people with complex mental health problems.
Respite care: taking a breather as an informal carer
Mantel care can be very fulfilling, but also intensive and tiring. That is why there is respite care: temporary replacement of the informal carer by a volunteer.
For example, a care volunteer can:
- Visit once a week or occasionally.
- Spending time with your neighbour.
- Taking a walk together or playing a game.
This gives you as a carer space for rest, relaxation or your own activities.
Please note that a care volunteer does not perform personal care tasks.
