Finding your place in Lelystad

As a status holder, it is important to find your place in Lelystad. We help you find your way in society, and teach you how to make increasingly independent choices and solve problems.

Welzijn Lelystad s Refugee Work team supports status holders from the moment they are given housing in Lelystad. This social guidance lasts for one year.

What do we do at refugee work?

We get you started in life in Lelystad, think about:

Explanation of Dutch laws and regulations
Liaising with agencies such as the municipality, GP, health insurance and Tax Office
Practical matters around housing, finances and daily regulatory matters
building your independence together

Together, we look at what you need and guide you step by step. You are not on your own. Do you not manage to continue independently after a year? Then we ensure a good transfer to one of our cooperation partners for appropriate support.
