Lelystad Speaks!

Lelystad East is brimming with stories. Stories that touch, inspire and connect. With the project Lelystad Spreekt! project, residents from the Zuiderzeewijk, Atolwijk, Waterwijk and Boswijk districts are given the opportunity to share their personal stories. An experience that has shaped them, an adventure that gives colour to their lives, or a cultural background worth being heard. This activity is carried out within Samen Lelystad Oost.

Building understanding

On Wednesday 17 December, it all comes together at Zuiderzee community centre. In a warm, cosy setting, residents will take the audience into their world. The goal? To create a connection between neighbourhood residents, foster understanding and take each other into a different world of life.

How it works.

Participants are guided and coached so that even those who have never been on a stage before feel confident. Rehearsals are scheduled on several days in November. To get acquainted with each other, discuss the stories or poems and, finally, there is room for deepening and a feedback session. During these meetings, stories are honed and participants are prepared for their performance.
