Lunchroom Zuiderzee closes the year with a warm Christmas lunch
Last time lunchroom Zuiderzee of 2025 was all about Christmas on Friday. Visitors were handed a Santa hat on reception, some had already put one on themselves or were wearing Christmas jumpers. Still others had dressed up festively.
Beautifully laid tables
Quartermaster Jennifer Daal and a group of volunteers went out of their way to make visitors feel comfortable. The tables were beautifully set, tea lights were lit atmospherically and Christmas music sounded softly from the speakers. 'We make it a party,' said Jennifer Daal.
Delicious fragrances
Eleven or so women had been busy in the kitchen since the community centre opened its doors. Soon, therefore, it smelt delicious in the main hall of Zuiderzee. On the menu: fresh tomato soup with a dollop of cream, French bread and herb butter, Christmas bread, delicious spiced pastries and, for dessert, fresh fruit with whipped cream.
Fine conversations
At the festively laid tables, local residents and InteraktCountour clients got to know each other. Some were here ovor the first time, others already know the lunchroom. Good news: also in 2026, you are welcome to join us for lunch. From 23 January, the lunchroom will open its doors again. Also check our calendar.
