Men enjoy themselves during wellness day ROC

For both, it took some getting used to. The students from the ROC van Flevoland's Physical Care course do not often have a man in their treatment chair. And the men who were there on Monday afternoon, 16 March, were stepping into a beauty salon for the first time. 'On both sides, it's a bit exciting, but we really enjoy having you guys there.' That was what Ineke Hooftman, teacher in Physical Care at ROC van Flevoland, told the men present.

Men's turn

Our colleague Jennifer Daal (quartermaster) has twice before held a beauty day in cooperation with ROC Flevoland. For women. And that did not go unnoticed by the men. They said, "You always organise some women when will it be the men's turn?" In consultation with Ineke, they decided to organise this wellness day especially for them.

Enjoyment moment

Eight men volunteered, although some were given up by their wives or mothers. Jennifer shoots in laughter again: 'Yes, one mother gave up her son and as the reason she gave: "He needs a facelift". Well, that wasn't too bad. But like all men: he deserves it!'

A head massage, a face mask and a hand spa (nail filing, hand bath, hand massage and nail filing). And the men? Who loved it!
