Women's Day Zuiderzee brings women together in Lelystad

Neighbourhood Centre Zuiderzee was dedicated to meeting, inspiring and growing together on Saturday, 6 May. During Women's Day, 53 women and 21 children came together for an afternoon of talks, workshops and new ideas.

Sharing stories

The atmosphere was warm and open. Women shared their stories, reflected on their dreams and gained inspiration from the various activities. The workshops were felt to be informative and enlightening, and there was plenty of space to meet and exchange experiences.

Feeling connected

What particularly stuck is the sense of connection. Many participants expressed the value of getting to know other women from the neighbourhood and looking ahead together. At the end of the day, women were also already registering to think and help with future activities.

'With this Women's Day, a nice foundation has been laid for more meeting, cooperation and support between women in the neighbourhood,' quarter manager Jennifer Daal looks back with satisfaction. 'Thanks to People Make the Neighbourhood for the advice and financial support.'
